i watched videos of FFXI and i really fell in love with the aesthetics, the launcher and the community back then, i like the idea that the game has 1 server for everyone, all countries and languages together, which is missing in modern MMO where every country had their own server, so i wanted to ask if FFIX still has that same community and is friendly to new players

uh I met someone on discord a while back that was playing the game regularly a year or two ago. Think he started at around that time and was still having a fun time with it.
But me EeePeeCee is too popo to run it so I can't have first hand knowlege

From my memory I think it still used separate servers back in the day.
But yeah that sort of crossover is cool, I could imagine with modern day translation middleware games like that would be dope
