Is Cassette beasts a good pokemon rip off?

| I was tempted to buy it because I really enjoyed the soundtrack. Looking at it though, there are enough things about it I don't like that I decided not to buy it.
The monster look stupid imo, the gimmick is nostalgic but seemingly only surface level. The graphics are....just below acceptable to me. All in all I would be more tempted for $10, but not for $20.
