When do you revisit old games?

| Occasionally I like to revisit games to see if my opinion about them has changed.

How much time passes before your current self *might* feel differently than your old self about the same game?

| It tends to be when I forgot most of the game.

Like I might remember 1 or 2 moments, but if I can't remember most of the game then my opinion might very well change.

For example I will never need to explicitly replay Halo 3 in order to remember it, I can play that game practically blind, but it was a little fun to go back and play games like Tomb Raider or Crash Bandicoot and see how I felt about them. Crash Bandicoot is still good btw....tomb raider not so much.

| I usually revisit more games more for nostalgia, and it takes 5-10 years for that to kick in. I don't play games as frequently as I used to, though, so there isn't really a timeline for it.

Yet I think of mix of these two, usually the amount of time for the former to take depends on the game( 1-3 years?) I also often journal about games so I re-read those as well.

| just with my sudden ideas sometimes.. >>965778 forgetting is good reason i agree

| i replayed Batman Arkham City (Xbox 360 version), i played that game 3 times, 2 when it came out and one time in like 2017, i replayed the game this week and i completed all of it in less than 2 days with some side quests, i like to play this kind of games that are kinda old, but still holds up very well compared to newer games, i gonna start playing all the halo games in the original versions (not MCC ), i started with HaloCE for the og Xbox and that game didnt age well but is fun

| I don't play new releases that often, and I never care about how old a game is if I'm considering playing it. I also replay games a lot, so I honestly have no idea how to pinpoint it. It just feels like they change naturally and fluidly over time, just slowly, whether I'm currently playing them again or not
