For me is the fan service that appeals, not that I will actually play it.

"How many times we can sell you a fantasy war game with anime boy/girl with sword" the game
I used to think that tales of.. games are the most generic looking ongoing JRPG series. Fire emblem might slowly take the title at this point.

Never has comfort breeding video game been so apt

>>941451 Very true but tbh I like a Engage. They've finally realised that their stories are shit so it's basically just gameplay, which is a big step up

fire emblem has so much potential :/
it really sucks to see it get this ass treatment. like imagine how amazing 3 Houses would be with a more fleshed out, interactable school segment, more unique animations, and especially more distinct stories that complement one another
im so sick of every new FE being some mobile game with a veneer of above average graphics while shit like the GBA games unequivocally have better stories and characters

The irony in how I never got interested in Fire Emblem because no FE game has an "Endless mode" or "Free mode" (a real free mode, not just replay this like a Lego game) when they basically make infinite games.

>>941860 i think 3 Houses dlc.has something close to that but yeah its weird how there's no roguelike challenge run mode for you to just run your tweaked out party through

>>941860 Most FE maps (the good ones anyway) are good because they're handmade. There's care in the placement of units and the setting of paths and obstacles. An "endless mode" will... probably be possible, but not within IntSys's skillset at the moment I think.

>>942148 Some people care more about quantity over quality though. Personally I'm happy with the actually good hand crafted maps, but some people just prefer playing mid for 100+ hours

I'd much rather play Waifu Farting While I Sniffy Simulator.
