>>928917 Boy, the RPG Maker games I can specifically recommend.
The Towelket series is really fucked up.
The Black Souls series is pretty dark, given what it's inspired by. It has porn, but you can disable it if you want.
The LISA games are a little fucked up. The setting being the post-apocalypse helps.

>>928917 ahhh the good ol' rpg maker games... I would recommend "the witch house" and "mad father". There's another one i didn't complete, which i don't remember the name, but on one of the endings the girl gets gangraped to death, which is kind of fucked if you ask me. I'll look for it later

Nevermind, just remembered the name, the mogeko castle
You might also want to check Corpse party, which is a psp game, but there's nice psp emulators on android

Op when you say RPG do you specifically want RPG or do you also want adventure games created with engines typically used to make RPG?
Because people saying Yume Nikki and its children are RPG are driving me nuts.

Fear & Hunger kinda comes to mind but the game being "enjoyable" will vary from person to person
