I was looking for a cheap game to buy that runs on a toaster. Is this game good?

Valheim isn't very cheap with its €20 pricetag and it doesn't have much content either. It's one of those "forever-early access" games that's gonna feel unfinished even after version 1.0.
That being said, it's an OK game. The athmospehere is top notch and the building aspect is really good. You can make some creative stuff and even beautiful stuff if you set your mind to it.
The combat is kinda basic but learning how to protect against base raids is kinda fun.

The exploration and pacing is kinda off though. Exploration is all fun and good on its own, but you have to tackle each biome in a certain order and the enemies there will always one-shot you at start. Whenever you get strong enough to tackle one biome and move on to the next they will one-shot you too. Rince and repeat.
It's fun, I enjoyed the time I spent with my friends in that game, but we all wished for more content and less repetetive combat.

Resource gathering is incredibly slow but you can tweak this in the settings. We ended up doubling the amount of resources you get and it still feels slow. I can't imagine what a borefest the game must be if you play with vanilla settings.
