Has there been a good 3d sonic game?

| I wouldn't judge Frontiers so quickly but uhhh I actually can't think of a decent 3D Sonic game.
| The fan remake of sonic 06 is pretty good.
| I won't try to argue stuff like Adventure, or Heroes. However: Generations was good, both in 2D and 3D.

| I'm cautiously excited for Sonic Frontiers. Zooming out the camera more seems like a good choice so you can see more in front of you. I'm not super excited about the amount of "cutscene attacks" though but at least they make Sonic look cool. And importantly, the enemies look badass for once instead of the usual Eggman cartoon clownery.

| For me and my love to exploiting games's physics and freedom on plataforming, every 3D main game but Shadow, Forces, Colors and Unwiished. Never got the chance to play Unleashed HD , 06 and Lost World Wii U.
Adventure 2 is kinda dissapointing as it limits a lot what you can do with the spindash compared to SA1 and Heroes, but is still 100 years above those 4 exceptions, and even Lost World 3D.
My trio 3D favorites are Adventure, Generations and Heroes
| >>908935 I want to add to the 2D discussion that actually, Episode 4 are not bad games if you consider both games released for less than what Sonic Mania was priced on release which everyone seems to forget as if they were full priced games. If we consider this, there really is no 2D Sonic main game that is bad. It's a shame they almost never want to add more characters other than Sonic, Tails and Knuckles and Classic only 2D games are adding to that.

| The fan fix of 06 is actually excellent. They've gone above and beyond with it, particularly with the changes to combat mechanics.

| Feels like Sonic has only been good in 2d and is why Mania is the best sonic game in years. Frontiers will probably also be just as bad and overhyped as every other 3d sonic
