Is Cyberpunk 2077 worth playing?

|

| No. Waste of time and resources.

| Yus.

| It's in a much better condition than during launch. I say yeah, if you're actually into the genre.

| >>898257 It's the second most expensive game (by dev cost) known to man, and the pinnacle of Polish engineering.

By which I mean, it's absolute fucking garbage, and that CD haven't faced a class action lawsuit over their wildly overstated promises amazes me.

| >>898479 disregard part of this I suck dicks; they did face a class-action lawsuit and had to settle it out of court lmao
still got way too many sales than they deserved

| It's my favorite game of the past 15 years, but it certainly isn't for everyone. I've never incountered any of the game breaking bugs others have.

If you enjoy the lore & setting it's great. I will admit gameplay can get a bit dull if you aren't into that though.

| Honestly, so long as you aren't trying to play it on last-gen consoles or have your expectations set in the fucking stratosphere its a damn good game. I played it at launch with only a couple annoying bugs, and the game-play and story are both well above mediocre. It deserves the shit it gets for the last-gen ports but the game itself is great and I think a lot of the hate it gets is a bandwagon thing.

| >>898678 You Are Reading A Paid Content.

| No 3rd person mode? No play

Anyways I think >>898678 got it right. The dev are partially at fault for over hyping it and then lying about the performance, but the fans also expected the impossible. I know a youtuber who have stalked the game since 2017/2018, following all the news about the game, hyping up near the release date, and planned to make a new channel just for the game. He ended up just making 3 videos and abandon the channel.

| Depends on what you're looking for in a game.
Cyberpunk was a mess at launch, but goddamn the game's got something truly special in its story. The gameplay can be extremely varied thanks to all the different builds, and missions can be tackled in different ways often leading to different outcomes.
Hell, i'd even say that the writing is a hell of a lot better than games like New Vegas.
If you liked Witcher 3 or Kingdom Come, you'll probably like Cyberpunk
