Games you want to beat, but just haven't gotten around to

| I have a genuinely massive backlog of games I've started without finishing, in the quadruple digits, but the tops of my list tend to be RPG's. Xenosaga, Shadow Hearts, and Dragon Quest V must be my most adored-yet-unfinished titles.

How about you? What do you keep putting off, for whatever reason?

| Got the bad ending in cave story when I was in gradeschool, running hell filtered the fuck out of me. Just graduated collge and absolutely destroyed running hell, felt really good to finally come back and end ot

| Oh boy I have a mountain. Just the games I can reach for right now, I have SMT V, AI The Somnium Files, 426: Shibuya Scramble, Fire Emblem Three Hopes, Disco Elysium. Not counting the ones I've uninstalled or left in a console now stashed in the attic.

| Never finished Sekiro. Got all the way to the end and then hit a wall. Took a break and then got rusty. Gotta go back and start over sometime

| Elona

| The 3ds version of xenoblade cronicles
smt IV
bravery second(not the sequel?)
FF 10
dark souls 1
fallout NV
Elderscrolls Morrowind
.hack GU
Doom 64
probaly more but then I would be going back several years

| My friend and I played through the entirety of Divinity Original Sin over the period of one or two years (because believe me, that game is a pain in the ass)

So we decided to also play through Divinity Original Sin 2 because suffering is fun

| Muse dash, I'll know whether or not I'll like it in 2 seconds but I can nae be fucked.

| Dragon Age. I always end up putting it off because I just want to monkey brain at the end of the day so I keep playing platformers.

| My pile has grown a lot - I always buy shit but never get around to it. Top picks are Xenoblade Chronicles, Tokyo Xanadu EX, and FE3H.

Mood. After 9 hours of work I just want to play some mindless comfy games, so my progress with RPGs is glacial.

| >>892011 Morrowind for me as well.

| Minecraft. I've been playing since around 1.2, 1.3 and I never even attempet to fight the Ender Dragon, thereby beating the game the intendet way

| Sunless Sea, Darkwood, and Cultist Simulator. Games I love in concept, but they're such a chore to actually sit down and play.

| >>892091
I don't think I've ever beaten Sunless Sea. I got to the midgame where I've explored most everything but don't have enough stats for meaningful progression and then I just... stopped.

I even tried killing my captain to see if starting a new character will reignite my interest. The opposite happened.

| I bought Disco Elysium but i haven't started it yet.
I know it's a game that requires a lot of your attention so im still waiting for a period of time where im not gonna have other games' updates or releases to distract me from it. Im really looking forward to it tho

| >>892109 Big same to this - I love the concept of the game more than the game itself.

| All of them

| FF 13-2, I kept getting stuck on the final boss and didn't want to grind to get to a high enough level so one day

Drakengard 1, was confusing af at first so definitely need to finish to get more lore

Labyrinth of Refrain, was too busy with life but eventually I'll hop back into it

Fire emblem three houses, played azure moon and verdant wind several times and even dlc but still need to finally play through crimson flower

Dirge of Cerberus, I suck at shooters xD so one day maybe

| Persona 3, 4 and 5. I love that series and I've played a fair amount of 3 and 5, multiple times, but I always end up getting distracted with something else.

Trails series as well. Shit's solid, but JRPGs are long and I always forget to charge my PSP.

| MGRR. I just can't quite ever find the desire to play it, but always want to finish it.

For what it's worth, you're not missing anything in Crimson Flower unless you really REALLY like Edelgard, but even then it will still feel lacking. Silver Snow is just diet Verdant Wind with an alternate final boss that's way less cool.

It took me 8 wholeass years to beat Persona 4. You can do it, g/u/rl.

| >>892167 having the same problem with P4 right now. Took me probably 2-3 years to beat P3P and I've been working on P5 since June 2021. Love the Shin Megami Tensei series but I have trouble getting through the games.

| >>892204 I remember booting up P4 thinking "it's been a bit, let's work on that one more", then saw that my last save was ten years prior. Ended up getting P4G, setting it to the easiest difficulty, and beating it in a week.

| Nier replicant, it has been almost a year since I bought it. There's no particular reason, I like the game, I liked Automata, I love the OST, but I don't know, I just don't feel like playing it

| >>c05432 better that then drilling through it over 4 days

| >>892219 I actually did something similar with P3P. I look at an old save thought "I just want to beat P3 already" then restarted on the easiest difficulty.

| >>892204 >>892219 >>892403
Glad I'm not the only one with that problem lol

| >>892189 I'm not the biggest fan of Edelgard but the completionist in me is screaming at me to finish it one day xD

| Daxter.. and whole Jak series but i was too young and unskilled now i'm maybe same but exists YT and tutorials xd but my PS2 is dead.. and i rarely play with my Vita (PSP i gived brother).. But i definitely should have to.. and Fatal Frame series but it's scared me.. and other lego games after lego batman and harry potter 1-4.. and dark souls.. and ico anr the last story.. and fragile dreams and Final Fantasy, and MGS, and Yakuza, Bayonetta, Mario games, Sonic games, nier and more~

| >>892938 I will beat Fatal Frame 2 the day my roommates agree to play with me. I ain't playing that alone.

| Yakuza 3, 4 and 5

| >>892942 we should have to play and be scared together xd

| Metal Gear Solid 5, had been playing on my ps3 but the console died.

now i have it on my pc but scared to play it dont know why.
