By "kids games" I mean stuff that is explicitly marketed towards children. Think of something like Mysims, or license games based off kids media.they're Usually synonymous with shovel-ware so I guess I'll lump that in too.

I recently played through Pokémon Firered, and it was a lot of fun. I've never played a Pokémon game before so I can guarantee it's not just nostalgia.

I played Skylanders for the first time when I was 24, with my roommate. We now both have every game, and entire collections of figures (because most were in the $2 bin at the local shop). It's like Gauntlet for kids, surprisingly fun.

>>880515 Super Mario 64 also has an unofficial port to a lot of systems including PC so I recommend that instead of emulation.

>>880497 I've always wanted to get into Kirby games. Where's a good starting point for somebody who knows nothing about the series?

Licensed PS2 games surprisingly still hold up (at least some of them)
Garfield 2, Chicken Little, Stuart Little 3 and WALL-E are actually pretty good 3D platformers, definitely recommend for peeps who like collect-a-tons type games
