I am looking for a game machine for casual gaming. I plays mostly fighting games, heard that there are still issues on compatibility for steam deck.

Steam deck if you want to get it 2023 or later, otherwise you might be able to get one of the other handheld PCs such as the aya neo or something but they cost more because valve be selling the deck a bit to low

Personally, I'd suggest the mini-pc, unless you would be getting a lot of use out of the portability and convenience of a handheld

I'd get a raspberry pi to play simple 2d fighting games and make a custom casing with game buttons

mini-pc and also steam deck are architectonically same kind of devices, "compatibility" in this side is only software one. If Steam deck can't play fall guys, mini-pc with Steam OS also can't, because of anti cheat. If Steam Deck will have Windows, it will works. Mini-PC are usually primarly for home usage, how you plan use this device? Or buy some external monitor and external powerbank?

>>876508 something to note steam deck isn't designed to run windows so you have to carry a keyboard around if you want to press the windows key ever among other things like the special ui not existing in not steam os
