Can't believe those sons of guns actually did it, Capcom is gonna be rolling in it

I really hope they don't tone down the comedy too hard. RE4's mixture of groaner one-liners, intense hyper violence, and slapstick is what stands out to me the most about the game, and I'd definitely lament it's removal in favor of a totally serious Leon S Kennedy Adventure.

I just like it when those mexican guys say mierda. But yeah this game will be sick.

>>865830 Wrong continent homie
>>865822 Did they tone it down in the other remakes? If they didn't in those they definitely won't in this. That's the most important part of the game.

>>865842 She might be referring to the voice actors being Mexican but speaking as if in Spain

It's pretty common for companies to confuse mexican with spanish, the original re4 did and it's so out of place. It's like if you were watching a USA based conversation but it were irish. Many years later Capcom pretended it was not in Spain, it was just "somewhere in Europe"

>>865870 None of the VAs for RE4 are Mexican though...
>>865921 Yeah. I mean, it's not a hard thing either. It's the same language so literally only thing they need to research is the accent, but they don't.

>>865924 At least one was born in Mexico, others were from Central & South America. I personally can't tell the difference in accent but my friends find it hilarious

>>865926 Ah, aight. I thought they were only from central and south. That's on me then. I just know the main VA for the male enemies is from Panama, but maybe VA for the little boy or the female ones is from Mexico.

>>865842 I'm admittedly not familiar with the newer Remakes, but I have played the gamecube one that very much played everything straight. The trailer dialogue seems to imply Leon getting his shit pushed in was part of Ashley's kidnapping and it sounds like it's being played relatively serious. Granted Re4 basically becomes comedy as part of a quasi-bait and switch, so maybe the same will happen in the newer rendition with the revenge plotline making Leon look sillier.

>>866400 Surely. Like, even the new mainline games are still pretty cheesy. I can't imagine they'd tone it down in the remake of the one where half the appeal is the cheesy one liners and dumb shit.

I will judge this remake based on the E g g
