| Well the great thing about FFXIV is that you don't need to talk to other people at all.
Literally just treat it as a single player game and do all the main quests. The story is in fact better than actual single player FF games, in my opinion.
But if you insist on a single player game, try the hot new hardcore game in the block. A game so difficult it put seasoned veterans in tears. That's right, I'm talking about none other than Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

Well there's two ways to read this. One is that you can't stand playing with other people, in which case you can just play FFXIV solo!
The other way is that keeping up with an incredibly massive live service game is hell for you, in which case you should play FFXIV *and* Genshin Impact on top of Destiny 2 for maximum suffering!
Ok in all seriousness: if you want smaller single player games, have you played Hades?

| I've played most of the popular rougelikes out there, on steam at least. Ror2 and slay the spire are the 2 i enjoy the most, they get old pretty quick tho

| If you are interested into atmospheric horror, I recently played Iron Lung and it's a pretty fun one.
It's only 5.99 on steam and you can finish it in about 2 hours. But maaan it knows how to deliver a good scary mood.

| Recently finished the Talos principle. If you like 3d puzzlers and a good story, this is a great choice.
Senua's Sacrifice looks good too. Havent played it yet, but I like the dev studio, and I haven't seen a single review below five stars.

Don't look up too much. It's better(and scarier) the less you know about it.
I know it's kinda pricey but you can get it for 50% off on sales every now and then. It's completely DRM free and it is also a portable app so it makes no changes to the registry. The lone dev seem like a genuine cool guy tbh. While he prefer it if people pay for the game he said he isn't against trying before buying.

I would also recommend The Talos Principle. That game is great and the DLC is also really good.
On top of that, I’d also recommend The Witness as another calm 3D puzzle game. Those two games got me through college, lol.
If you prefer something more story-driven though, maybe a VN is a good choice. I hear 13 Sentinels is good, but I haven’t played it yet.

I only saw a small video and I see what you mean. I won't spoil anything on this game. Looks very interesting!
I did read a steam review that said "If the Mars Rover was a roguelike, this is pretty much what you'd get" and that's a heck of a nice pitch to me.
