| I've been a From Soft fan for years and years now, but since Bloodborne was my first one and I was a lot younger + new their games I got stuck on Vicar Amelia, ran out of flasks, and gave up.
In the years between then and now I've played through other From Soft games and also watched multiple full playthroughs of Bloodborne, but I decided to finally get into it again, and, woa.
This game truly is a masterpiece. No question. This shit might be the best game I've ever played.

| I'm the type to usually enjoy games and shit a lot less if I'm spoiled on them no matter how good they are. Jist kinda ruins it for me. But despite that and despite Bloodborne being a game I'm completely and fully spoiled on I'm having an absolute fucking blast with this.
This game is absolutely stunning and despite knowing everything that's gonna happen it's still super exciting and gets me fully immersed like nothing else. Ain't a single game out there that does it better.

| And the combat? Damn that shit's good. It's perfect. Fast paced but still has the methodical elements of the souls games. Very well balanced. Visually looks fucking sick. It's just pure serotonin.

Coop isn't something I've tried much, but like most From Soft games it does seem a bit subpar. I do know some people who've basically played whole thing coop and loved it tho.

Yeah, game is pretty fast. But as a combat system I do feel like it's way tighter and more polished than Dark Souls and that. The fact that it's so focused and is so carefully design to push you towards and reward you for playing fast is brilliant. But, of course, I understand how that can be annoying if you prefer to play slower.

I mean, they're just boring, you know? Bloodborne is a game that thrives off of it's carefully crafted and intricate level design, and challice dungeons is the same 3 rooms copy pasted 50 times.
It has some cool stuff in it for sure, but, you know.

Just turn the brightness up lol. I have brightness on 9 in all From Soft games for this reason. If it's still dark it might be either your monitor or a place where you're supposed to equip the lantern.

| I wasn't a big fan of Bloodborne. The only other SoulsBorne game I had played prior was DS and I liked having a shield. BB doesn't have a non-joke shield so I couldn't get into the game.

Well, yeah. That's kinda the point. It's a full on action game. So it's definitely not for you if you want that kinda passive gameplay.
