Elden Ring
| Oh, apparently I completely missed the Elden Ring thread that's already closed... Oh well
| Objectively the best in the FromSoft Souls games, my only bad takes from it is that it has little replayability, the numerous bugs (some weapons don’t scale properly and are unviable, performance issues, bosses breaking mid fight, etc.), the balancing issues, and some horrible game design choices in some areas. I didn’t have as much fun with this game as I did with other From games but I’m really not sure as to why really.

It is their first time experimenting with newer ideas along with an open world setting so I can’t blame them at all for that. I personally can’t pick up the game again anytime soon after completing it. But it is an amazing game nonetheless, loved the world, atmosphere and characters.
| I mostly like it. however, the progress I make through this game is incredibly, incredibly slow. it often feels like I'm forcing myself to go out looking for non-boss stuff to do, which was fine in limgrave but got less interesting in liurnia. right now I'm trying to beat godrick.
so far, I've had a pretty noticable lack of interesting NPC interaction. that might be because I killed white mask varre after he called me maidenless tho.
| Every single time someone posted about Elden Right my unwise desire to get a PS5 just to be able to play this grew stronger.

| I love it, favorite Souls game so far. My biggest and maybe only real gripe with the game is how they massacred invasions. It's just not very fun anymore to invade. Pretty much guarantees that you'll be ganked, no ember or humanity state so even more likely for people to only be invadable right before they enter the boss room to summon. At least 50% of the time, people just go in the boss room as soon as I invade and I get sent back.
| I loved the mess of different covenants joining one host and I liked turning on invaders, the chaos of it all.
And maybe I'm weird, but I actually liked being invaded too. It's fun fighting off invaders. Always just didn't use an ember if I didn't want to be invaded in DS3

| >>841113 I didn't invade until I actually got the perma invade finger and literally 99% of people who invaded me were legitimately friendly and chill. I was in co-op with a friend waiting for people to invade us (we alternated between who fights) and one guy just came to sit with us by the campfire while another used their physick to self destruct. Then I tried invasions myself and realised it's hell... Got ganked by 3 people who didn't wait for me to buff then teabagged my corpse

| How come no Elden Ring thread when game so good? Inconceivable! Discuss Elden Ring please. I've never played a souls game nor have I ever wanted to either but Elden Ring has been amazing so far. Truly a masterpiece. It's definitely not for everyone (for many reasons other than difficulty) but I'll be damned, it's been far too long since I've paid this much for a game and actually found it to be worth the price. They've really gone and done it, I tell ya. ok have fun
