Is anyone else here also trying out the demos in Steam Next Fest? I've been downloading random demos that seem even a bit interesting.
So far can definitely recommend Neon White and "I Was a Teenage Exocolonist". The first is a puzzle platformer speedrunning FPS, the second is a life sim visual novel with card mechanics. Both have strong aesthetic and really polished demo.

I tried Turbo Overkill and it's a pretty fun boomer shooter. The movement is nuts considering you can slide in mid-air but it works really well for the fast paced gameplay

Read Only Memories Neurodiver is on Next Fest. The demo is pretty short, but it's good. I didn't like the first ROM game much but Neurodiver is looking pretty solid.
At least it's something to fill that VA-11 Hall-A shaped void in our heart while waiting for N1rvanna.
