I just realized that I don't know if I have a favourite game. Like, sure, I've got a top 10, but I don't think I'd be able to call amy of the my all time favourite. So, it got me curious. Do you g/u/rls have a favourite game? One single game that you love over any other? If so, I'd love to hear about them!

Yeah, I can't really pick one singular favourite either. Not a huge fan of absolute statements. Even for innocuous things...
If you put a gun to my head, I would probably say Kotor II. Come back later, and I would likely have a different answer.

Not really, i have a few favourites. There no "perfect all around" games, but there's games that do different things perfectly

>>833550 I can pick favourites with some things in life, but, especially with stuff like this it really isn't easy, huh? At least I'm not alone in that.
>>833565 That's very true. Like Celest doing tight platforming perfectly and Hades doing roguelite-ing(?) perfectly, but they're obviously focused on doing specifically that. But, you know. Favourite doesn't mean objectively best or perfect. Favourite game doesn't mean perfect game. Favourites is a very personal thing.

If I would say my fav game overall, it would be outer wilds. If I would say my fav game in total hours played, it would be skyrim. I played so many hours of skyrim that I usually have dreams related to skyrim in someway.

>>833571 while that is true, i can't pick a single favourite because there's no single game that does elements i love better than everything else. I have multiple favourite games because each and every one of em does a different thing i love almost perfectly for me. It's like each game for me has a love chart with different values for story, characters, gameplay, immersion, and setting (like, the vibe and atmosphere of the game world). I can't pick a single favourite

I'd choose the two Hotline Miami games as my favorites. They were the first games I played that meant something and weren't just for fun. There are a lot of other games contending for second place though.
>>833757 Solid. Hotline Miami is in my top 10 for sure.
