What do you think will be improved from the previous model?

Better screen, better GPU, maybe more battery life (?), I don't think there'll be much beyond that.

Whatever it is, if it's not portable anymore it won't be any of my concern.

>>763060 Fuck. You know what, now that I think about it, this might be the case. They've already started the split with Lite, this one might actually be home-only as its counterpart. It would totally suck if that ends up being true.
On the other hand, there were rumors about it getting new OLED screen, no? Wouldn't make any sense were it not portable.

>>b7051f I dunno, I couldn't imagine there being so many rumors about a 4K compatible dock, specifically, if the new model is TV out only. If I were to guess, we're either getting a replacement for the regular Switch or moving to a 3-unit situation where one is TV out only, one replaces the regular Switch and the Switch Lite remains.

>>763765 awful components for portability mode. Imo they should go with some raspberry pi and attach an actual light gpu on it.

>>763797 Nvidia discountinued production of the old switch GPU so the new one will use a different one. Chances are it'll be an upgrade.
Also Samsung already spilled the beans on the new OLED screen, so I don't think 1080p is that far fetched, but who knows.
