Does anyone else hate time limited events on gacha games?

I just took a month break from Arknights and I have noticed that I missed out on a major (I think?) story event and a couple of cool skins because of the break. I just want to play the game whenever I want to and not every single day.
It triggers my OCD since I have most of the operators except time limited ones like Grani since I had joined the game a bit too late. If anything I can't help it but feel like they'll never bother with reruns.

I hate gacha games and they should have their own board because it's an insult to mix gamble games with videogames

I find them annoying, but I understand why game devs do them. They want to encourage players to log in daily. These gacha games, and other free to play titles, tend to be designed to psychologically exploit their player base. OCD, vulnerability to gambling addiction, etc.

I actually quite like them! But also I'm a pretty low-engagement player who is as far away from OCD as you can possibly put. If I miss something I just shrug and move on.
It's just nice that there's always something new to look forward to, you know? And I like the daily log ins because it gives me something to open daily. Gave my days a tiny bit of structure, since I'm a freelancer whose schedule can be a bit of a mess.

They can be annoying, sure. But eh.

What annoys me is having to play catch up and never having a break from events, just one after another without time to farm materials.

I like them. Stops things from going stale. U could finish cod or something in several hours and never go back, but in gachas there's always new stuff. Developing your chars and shit. It can feel like 2nd work sometime, but is kinda cool and rewarding. Reruns or other ways to reexperience old content are nice tho. Missing out sucks.

>>713522 What about gachas that don't require money. Like Xenoblade Chronicles 2?

Wait, is it an elaborate joke, or are there actual people "playing" those?

>>713841 the moment the game is not forcing you to gamble through "you suffer your desires if you don't pay" is not a gacha game. Or are you saying JRPGs are gacha games? Is Final Fantasy a gacha game?

>>713888 What. What does "you suffer your desires if you don't pay" mean?

>>713909 maybe gurl meant sacrifice or such

>>713888 XC2 legit had a gacha system. You farm core crystals around the world that lets you summon "blades" and in a regular gacha game that would've been the premium currency.
I think there was a DLC package with core crystals though, but that's a one-time purchase.
