I don't know how or why it happened, I always loved smash ever since the first game on N64 I had thousands of hours in melee and hundreds on every other smash But ultimate is not holding my attention as well as the others did and now I'm enjoying normal fighting games more than I enjoy Smash
Did this happen to anyone else?

Now that I think about it my play time in melee is ludicrous I managed to make the triggers stop working and break the Z button in half from so much dodging and grabbing Both the analog stick and thw c stick are bare without the rubber protection and buttons A and B are softer than they should I wish to be this addicted to a single game again someday, maybe it's not healthy but it's less expensive

Ultimate is definetly the worst Smash. While it is the best in amount of content, you can only say so about characters, spirits you will only beat it once in life and just battling NPCs doesn't feel as good as it was back in Brawl, I could spend days just battling them on regular mode. With Ultimate I feel I'm forced to play and I don't even know why. >>yoko enter saws

Music is a major factor, while in Brawl all of the music was new, 70% of Ultimate is Brawl music, the new music isn't that atractive, and Brawl and Meele music is so old is exhausting to hear these again after 1000 times.

Ultimate is just the same games we have been playing for 20 years but updated. Basically there is nothing new and old things feels even older than they were. The same maps, the same music, the same gamemodes (if not less, thanks Ultimate). The worst part is the lack of achievement. Yeah you have to unlock all the rooster, but nothing else. 20 other Ground Theme versions, and else songs. But what do you get for completing the game? Change music on the menu. That's it.

You guys are just bored of smash in general. Ultimate is definitely the most complete version out rn

>>565450 As I said, complete doesn't mean fun. Worst part is that Ultimate isn't that complete. You can give me 300 fighters and I would still get bored. You won't get bored on the competitive scenario, but what if you just want to play the game? The game doesn't offer anything if you do so. Online is more boring than it was on Smash4, all fights are the same and all people fight in the same way. I no longer feel fights are as epic as they were before. Spirits is a waste of time.

I think I have played more Smash 64 than Ultimate in the last 2 months, I loved custom levels on Brawl but for some reason even if I know you can do a lot on Ultimate (and I have), I just don't feel it.

I feel like the lack of modes isn't that much of a problem, since the only extra mode in any Smash game that was fun was Subspace Emissary

Brawl had a lot of issues but I feel that the soundtrack and subspace emissary made up for them

>>565565 And we got a lot of important Nintendo characters, that were missing in Melee

The only thing, I dislike about Ultimate is the World of Light, which is literally clickbait

>>565570 yeah world of light is awful it's just the challenge mode with more gimmicks, an annoying map that serves no real purpose and something that can barely be called a story

Well, the new amiibo journey mode is kinda fun Mostly because I can leave it running while I work It's the perfect mode for busy people to pretend they're achieving something

Aaaaaand you can only send each amiibo out once a day Bummer, I have only two amiibo... :/

Even more bummer it's not even each amiibo it's just one a day

You can pretty much achieve more just by leaving your amiibo fighting in Smash mode, and you can load both you have. Amiibo journey is not a good addition even if you want to "farm afk", worst is that you can't leave it on the background. The even worst part is that you payed for Online just to not watch the battle until your amiibo is back, and who guaranties your amiibo has been playing Online? You've been scammed, he's fighting CPU inside your own console.

>>565837 makes sense I'm paying the online mostly for splatoon, but I can't play splatoon while working

Go play with some friends, go to a local, go to tourneys. I have friends over every Saturday To practice and we're gonna hit up locals every other Tuesday soon.
I did get bored at one point too though. The meta characters are piss easy to play and are boring as sin to watch. They got a lil nerfed recently though so we'll see how that goes.
