Lately I've been having this problem more and more, whenever I press on the D-Pad or even the volume up/down buttons the PSP registers stick movement. If I disable the stick (in emulators for example) everything's okay. If I don't touch any buttons the stick doesn't move so it's not drifting or ghosting or whatever. Do I have to replace the stick or does it seem like the issue is somewhere deeper, say in the circuitboard itself for example?

It sounds like it's just something sticky on the circuitboard. Did you spill a sugary beverage on your PSP anytime in the past?
You can open it up and just clean everything with some Isopropyl alcohol and a Q-tip.

>>530519 I got my PSP used, so I don't really know what was happening to it before. This wasn't too much of an issue until recently, when it started doing what I described all the time. I'll try opening it up later today, I guess.
