Additional tip: if you're somehow over your budget, you can try looking for second-hand parts. Gaming doesn't always require the best and newest. Sometimes you can slack on things like CPU to get a slight saving.
I stuck to my i7-4770K for years and it still does most games fine, but I wholly recommend doing GPU upgrades if you plan to stick to older (capable) CPU.
