I'm thinking about buying a used steam deck, since it's pretty powerful and portable. The problem is that I've never used a controller in my life, and I don't know how long will it take me to get used to this new form of I/O, and if it even worth buying it. Maybe there's gonna be someone who already been through this. To give you some context, right now I don't have anything to play on, and I don't have any space to place a computer. So the only options are a gaming laptop / deck.

buy a used lenovo legion and/or a 4-6 year old alienware (dealer's choice of model). disassemble it, repaste it, and it's usually good to go for another 10 years. deck's a gimmick really
