I think the game's biggest problem is that it makes up for its lack of depth by making recipes need a shitload of resources to produce goods at an ample rate. Features like bigger blueprints would 'break the game' because, when you boil it down, the game is more about quantity and a copy and paste feature for builds, like what Factorio has, would trivialize the game. Copy and pasting stuff does not trivialize Factorio at all and doesn't break the game.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy both Satisfactory and Factorio, I like them about equally because I know it's unfair to compare Factorio's depth to Satisfactory given the difference between 2D and 3D and that Factorio has had more time in development.
I just hope it's something that gets ironed out in the future and we get more accessibility options like bigger blueprints.

YES! That's what I've been saying gurl. These are just baseline stuff for a automation game.

I'd always consider satisfactory as normie bait. I've tried to play factorio but I just don't have the autism bug.
The spatial awareness you build in the 3D space is the kind I imagine you develop when making a train or Lego set and it's personalized in the way you have to build around obstacles. That's the trade off as I see it.
It does hit a wall as you said but by that time I check out and maybe check back in the next update.

>>1066264 You get me! I will say, the game has some QoL features that should become baseline. The dimensional depots are sick.
>>1066326 Normie bait lol, yeah I see that. Satisfactory has the best base building of any factory game I've played so far. That and exploration are what make it just about as fun for me.
That wall is quite tough though. Less than 5% of players beat the game/complete Phase 5. That's insanely low, I have trouble finding a game with a lower clear rate.

There's also only so much map, so the wonder of exploration wears off before the game is finished and if you're doing a second run. I was pretty sad when <spoiler>the dialogue between ADA and the alien ran out</spoiler>
