UFO 50

| So basically, the Spelunky devs over 7yrs made 50 games with retro style graphics but very creative and unique design (and controls that don't suck ass), and they put them all together to make something kinda like those mini-NES thingies with a bunch of games on them for a fictional console that never existed

I've been playing it for a little bit and before that watched some gameplay, and this shit goes so hard. It's legitimately 50 full, lovingly crafted games all in one wtff

| I've only been playing some of the arcady and roguelike games so far, but ik this thing got whole ass RPGs on it. I'm already getting really addicted to some of them, and honestly those could have been released as solo games and I woulda been playing them. Massive respect to the devs for putting this amount of effort and time into a singular package and making it cheap, this is so fun!!

| Uh huh

| I was hoping the mini console with built-in games was be real because I love those things.

oozing

Yeah, it would be sick to have an actual physical little console with this on it. That sounds expensive af both to buy and make though. Maybe if the game pops off they'll do it someday

i dunno if it would be that expensive because singleboard computers are kinda cheap. i figure the minimum specs to run UFO 50 games are higher than 35 year old console specs but the mini megadrive and snes mini are only like 99€.

True, true. To me 99€ is kinda expensive tbh, but if they could keep it around that price point it would probably be a reasonable price all things considered

| Also, I've been playing this a lot since I made this thread, and so far there's some absolute bangers

Elfazar's Hat is a really tight top down shooter with a card matching mechanic for powerups (and incredible bnuy mc)

Valbrace is a dungeon crawler with combat that's basically Punch-Out with weapons

Velgress is OG Kid Icarus if it was good and a roguelike

Party House is basically a game about RNG manipulation

Planet Zoldath is a Zelda 1 style resource management-ish rogulike

| Those and also Bug Hunter are probably my favourites out of the 20ish I've tried so far, but all the others I've tried have also been really fun and my opinions will probably change once I take the time to get properly into them
