freezing up is actually a subconscious fear of mine
im heartened by the fact that o have been in dire situations and my body just reacted and handled shit but i can totally imagine a situation like being at gunpoint or seeing a truck bearing down on me and just locking the fuck up
im a more assertive/extroverted person though so thats to be expected

I could understand the freezing up, but I will never understand why some people yell so fucking loud, especially women

>>988181 its the basic danger responses in all animals and humans in particular
loud exclamations are used to disorient an aggressor and hopefully to attract attention and assistance, and someone panicking may resort to this, particularly people less inclined/used to physical reactions

I thought this post was about freezing to death from the cold and was confused how you thought running away would help you. I'm so fucking illiterate.

>>988189 too bad you can't disorient a small earthquake or something similar. Like, just shut up and save that yelling just incase you need to be rescued later.

>>988160 Not OP but the one time I had sleep paralysis I was just so ready to throw hands and could not move. Really struggled to do so too. When I was able to be awake and actually move what I thought was some asshole invading my room was just a shadow of a lamp.
