danger/u/ literature club: return

| I am illiterate
What have you been reading lately?

| Subtitles on anime

| dont you know? ni-g/u/rls caint read

| Still reading LotR, as I was in the last thread. I'm about halfway through The Two Towers now.

| I'm reading shitposts in danger/d/

| The necromomicon

| It's a dense read but really good! I get really sucked into it when I read it

| Been reading "The Sound of The Mountain" lately. Not really enjoying it. Like a textbook its always feels like I've been reading it for longer than I have been.

Might start R.F. Kuang's "Babel" before I finish. Heard good things from a friends.

| The Perks of Being a Wallflower is really good so far

| the mammoth book of comic fantasy

| Brad Neely's new book, You, Me & Ulysses S Grant

| I haven't been reading much literature lately except for a few pages of Valis every now and then before going to bed.

Instead I'm reading Neuroscience by Dale Purves and Biochemistry by Denise R. Ferrier. They're medical textbooks that's mandatory reading for undergraduate students in the medical field. I'm not a medical student and don't plan on becoming one. I'm just the kind of person that if I find something interesting or useful I will hyperfocus on it until it sticks with me

| House of Leaves, slowly making my way through it

Lovely read ngl

| "Sacred and Terrible Air", "House of Leaves", "Snowcrash", "9M9H9E9", and "Mountains, Oceans, Giants".
Last one is from Alfred Döblin and I hated him due to school but his books kinda slap.

| the nuclear option by captain kirby

| stop reading its for smart ppl only

| >>978273
How is it? I've heard it's pretty cool.

Not the gal you asked but yeah, it's very cool and kinda punk in the way you read it. It's different and meta and it's about so many things it's hard to narrow it down while not spoiling anything. Even though it can be funny it's still a horror book at its core but even if you don't particularly enjoy reading horror this book may be the exception to the case.

The writers behind Alan Wake were hugely influenced by House of Leaves by the way.

| 神去なあなあ日常 is pretty comfy so far and the narrator is really angsty which is quite funny methinks

| jeff the killer its a really freaky story about a boy that has a brother and gets bullyed and goes insane and becomes a killer its really good but scary
