Wild that it's somehow a special event here, but I (very visibly trans) just went to the ER cause of a potential infection. I'm fine and shit, wasn't anything to worry about, but the two doctors were just, chill
Like every single time I gotta interact with healthcare for any reason at all mfs are so weirf about it. Soon as they realise they make shit all awkward. Like either try to actively stop me from getting help and making shit unnecessarily complicated for no reason or they

(and this is not am exaggeration) start talking about trans girl pussies or talk about some "back in my day y'all would have been executed". Those two are so common I'm almost desensitised to how ridiculous it is at this point
This time it was just so smooth though. Nobody was being weird, no unnecessary shit, just casually acknowledged in order to see if the pain could be related to any of the pain I've been experiencing and then moving on
So why are people not more accepting?

It was just so much simpler and easier for everyone involved and everyone just interacted with eachother like normal human beings (sitting outside while writing this and somebody just yelled at me from their car bro wtf lol, these people are mental)
But, yeah. Just be chill and do your job and mind your business instead of embarrassing yourselves and making shit harder for yourself and others

Yeah fam, it's magical when people learn to chill tf out. Not even just about trans topics. Just about everything. When people learn they don't need to go batshit insane over every little thing going on in everybody else's lives, it's a glorious thing.

>>966598 Okay, unironically, this one doctor I had would (no exaggeration) every single time I went to him bring up the pussy of some trans woman he had as a patient once. Just, like, in-depth describing it and how nice they are, and ngl he did sound bitter that he's never gotten any lol Old ass man btw. 60+ at least

Mind you that's not a procedure we ever talked about, cause it's not one that applies to me. He just brought it up out of nowhere every single time, regardless of if it was just us or not, and he was so fucking weird about it

There was a nice counterpoints video about lbgt+ stoicism/oppulance in the face of bigotry.
In some sense it's unfortunate that you have to adopt it as a personality to survive but it's probably the best for mental.
And in the long run you'll probably be mentally stronger than most.

>>966620 I've noticed that. Whenever I tell any cishet friends about experiences with bigotry I found kinda funny, their response is often something along the lines of "I wouldn't have been able to hold back" or they don't find it funny cause they can't see the humour in something like that, cause they're not used to it
I also seem to handle "normal" bad things way better. Idk. I'm just used to adversity and have chosen to live my best life despite it instead of folding to it
Post number #966628, ID: fea11c
|
>>966620 I disagree with it being "best for mental" though I'd much rather live in a world where there was none of this toxic bullshit going. I have a lot of trauma. I can barely remember the first 18 years of my life cause my mind has blocked it out to protect me. I didn't feel like I was even human until a year or two ago Sure, I'm "strong", but that's the same argument people use for why beating kids is positive It's just not true, and nobody should have to deal with that shit

Speaking as a cis person, I think that someday (hopefully soon), trans people and their topics won't be a "political thing" nor something to make a fuss about. They will just be a normal part of society and stuff. I don't know why there're so many people that lose their minds about this. But that "assimilation" of trans existence will happen anyways.

it's like an ant frozen by the beauty of a single rose as it can only view that, while the elephan will admire the whole garden and see that there is a lot of good and bad, the whole garden is so complex it'd take several minutes to see what's making some plants go bad and some being kept well.
Post number #966681, ID: ad5c7f

the point is: op's opinion is very superficial and he uses it as a way to blind from the reality where even simple thing like "I like yellow" can become a very important statistic in the big complex world.
Post number #966688, ID: fea11c

>>966651 I think so too. Humanity is slowly but surely going back to the times of letting people be people It won't come easy though. Seems every government is tryna pull the same shit as the US rn. But I do fully and truly believe the world as a whole will be better soon now that we're reaching a braking point and the common folk want to heal and evolve
Also, I appreciate your input! Hearing chill cis people's perspectives on this stuff is rare but imo very valuable

>>966681 I usually won't interact with stuff like this, but I just wanted to point out how funny it is that this person read my post about "don't act like a weirdo just cause you encounter somebody who's a little different to you" and their response is ramblings that sound like those of a mental patient because they encountered somebody online who's a little different to them Appreciate the use of correct pronouns though

>>966690 so you're just bashing what I say away and put sarcasm with it? Because you simply couldn't bear the all the weight and had to just let it pollute your mind? Imagine being always to stay on your chill spot and keep doing "oh a new noise is in my neighborhood, guess I'll accept it" for every fucking new thing. Everyone has different shits to deal with everyday, and what you get too? People obsessed with stuff you don't care and they feel the need to keep pushing it into you? Wow, that's so uselful. Life has better to offer than wondering about your daily tshirt to feel more comfort in yourself.
