Study and complete practice problems frequently. Fundamentals depends on what branch of mathematics you want to learn.

Study Study Study. I was a prodigy in math and did not have to study until like year 11 when my grades dropped and I was outdone by normal kids who just studied. Learned how to study over time and boom perfect grades. It really is just practice. And fundamental? For my civil engineering study they saw everything up to and including imaginary numbers as essential.

A lot of it is just remembering how to do things, right? Like PEMDAS, or that when you do something to one side of equation, you do it to the other. And really the best way to ingrain that shit in your brain is through repetition, which is why schools will throw 20-30 problems at you as homework on a regular basis. Find an old math textbook run yourself through it - college level ones are cheap if you buy older editions.

here a more chill tip. just read shit about maths and keep your brain active on insights, your curiosity may will grown overtime on the topics like this, take some rests to do whatever is not math related so you don't get burned out. If you actually end up burned up, take a very long rests, you just can't really force it to yourself unless you've got some ispirating figure you look up that you like since childhood.

very long rest* severals are gonna put the whole fire out and you'll feel less willed to come back since between feeding up or starting out the fire manually, the later is much more tiring.

OP here, thanks guys. I was already reading this book on discrete mathematics but the farther I went the more I thought I was just not capable of grasping its concepts. But all of you surely have motivated me :)

>>962306 You can definitely do it. What a lot of people don't realize about learning is that when it's hard, that's when you're actually learning. So if you're having a rough time, just remember that it's ok; that's means you're challenging yourself, and advancing, even if it's slow.
