I still miss this one friend that I stopped talking to due to depression and now I haven't been able to find them for almost 2 years

Just had a dream about hanging with a good friend of mine that i haven't really talked to in about 7 years when his dad died. A year ago I was visiting hometown and saw him in a restaurant but felt weird about reaching out, know he saw me as i walked away without coming up to say hi. If anything that's done nothing but hurt things rather than leave them neutral if I'd just said hi. Dunno why I did that, I'm normally very social.

Yeah, it happens a lot for me unfortunately. But some people are here for a season as they say and some times life happens and those people are just unable to reach out again. Whatever happens, it'll work out and world keeps turning. Best of luck to any g/u/rl out there missing something, it gets better with time!

It is my sworn duty to become the friend that people miss.
(I am terrible at maintaining relationships long term and jump ship when the going is good.)

>>953376 yeah, I'm pretty much with her. I had good friends at school who I ghosted after graduation. I change my number (due to other reasons, not specifically to ghost them) so they have no means to contact me because I have abandoned social media.
Now years has passed, I don't have desire to talk to them because I predict the conversation would be about carrer, family life, and other things that I don't care about.

>>953392 If you dont mind telling. How are things going for you gurl? Do you intentionally do this to everyone or just those school friends?

I am that friend people miss. I have a habit of ghosting people and then just not really missing them

>>953417 I'm actually pretty happy with my life currently. I take care family business and make more than enough money for myself. I wake up and doesn't feel like killing myself, unlike the times when I was working normal office job or even worse when I was job hunting.
But of course, I am massive failure judged by the standard of society. At me age I should be married, have a kid, own a car, maybe halfway with mortgage payment.

From the past family gathering that I attended, It only took 1 asshole to belittle me and tell me how to live my life to ruin my mood for wreks. I imagine the same will happen if I talk to my friends at school. So yeah, I just do this to everyone.

>>641828 I used to be the same tbh, but I don't do that since I was the one who started to miss a friend who disappeared and now I try to maintain all of my relationships
There's a lot of people who I've lost contact with and don't care about, aside from that one specific friend I mentioned earlier
>>729f20 it's usually harder to talk to someone after a long time because it feels weird at first

NO. I ended our friendship because she's a biiiiiitch. She came into work recently and kept staring at me and tried to make a connection but I ignored it and treated her like just another customer because she's a biiiiiiitch. True we had some chill times together going to festivals, hooking each other up with hot friends, making out if that failed, and generally got high and played videogames/watched american dad together which was dope but she's such a lying fucking biiiiiitch.
