| what are you reading currently?

| You

| Currently reading One Hundred Years Of Solitude and Norweigan Wood. Gonna read The Tartar Steppe next.

I'm also reading some non-literature like The Dawn Of Everything and How To Win Friends And Influence People.

| Saga of Tanya the Evil volume 3, Spice and Wolf volume 1, Krieg and Day of Ascension (both are 40k books) and SPQR: A history of Rome

| Where is Alice?

| >>932398 Whoops! You have to put this Alice UP YOUR ASS

| i have never read an entire book in my life

| Return of literature cl/u/b?

Irvin Yalom's "Existential Psychotherapy" mostly

| Mona Lisa Overdrive

| Where's my SF/F buddies at? I'm currently reading A Memory Called Empire and just recently finished The Widow Queen.

I have Book of the New Sun on the backlog, but very open to other recs.

| I keep finding myself dropping books. I got one third of the way through Conrad's Heart of Darkness, got to chapter 26 of Worm, stopped a bit after Voltaire's Treaty on Tolerance, and now I'm stuck halfway on a DA:O fanfic called All Roads Lead to Denerim. I also recently bought Dune and Beyond Human, but I don't expect to ever finish them. The only books I seem to ever finish are historical encyclopedias.

| discrete mathematics for computer science by harry lewis and rachel zax. I have an awful professor so I have a lot of textbook reading to do. before that I read American Psycho, which I really enjoyed. after finals I will resume reading Man's Search For Meaning by Victor Frankl, or maybe just binge read yuri manga for a month.

| >>932581 the most recent scifi I attempted was Feersum Endjin but I made it about 30% through before being unable to continue through the frequent garbage sex scenes. I'd appreciate if you have any scifi recs with better written sex scenes (or at least less straight ones).

| Picked up the original Dark Sun novels from a thrift store recently, been working my way through those.

| Been reading What is To be Done by Lenin, so far its actually pretty good :)

> Conrad's Heart of Darkness (1899)
> Voltaire's Treatise of Tolerance (1763)
... g/u/rl I think I see the issue. Stop reading centuries old books. Something from the current decade will probably be infinitely easier to read.

Dune is a good one, but it's very slow-paced. But if you like encyclopedias you might appreciate it.

| >>932651 Nah fam some old books still hold up great. I got my boy Poe's back here. Besides, literally anything is better than House of Night. That shit beyond trash, it radioactive, but I had to go through 4 of them for my bf in HS, which gave me new found appreciation for anyone who bothered putting actual thought behind their words.
