It makes ok money like 50-60k a year not amazing though not terrible especially with roommates. Things are quite manageable just wish I could get my diet under control and then I would be golden.

I clocked in 3 minutes late. didn't matter that I was there helping a customer, or that I had been coming in early every day to help cover labor shortages, or even that I was staying late to make sure everything was done, even after working double shifts. Nope, what matters is the recordable metrics that increase efficency. If you ding the wrong thing, they'll toss you aside. The company doesn't care about you, never forget that.

| I run my aunts antique-store — well, we're not really selling antiques. I think knick-knack or bric-a-brac might be more apt descriptions of what we sell — so I spend most of my days in retail not far from my apartment.
I get around 1-2 customers a day so I have lots of time for daytrading, reading and watching anime. It's not a bad life tbh, but it's lonely and there's no real future to it. I'm gonna have to switch it up at some point.

This is true, but also the company you work for will treat you different depending on the business and position. I worked in a casino and while they also do the same stuff, they are REALLY transparent about it and give you a lot of time to work with. Would've stayed there if they paid better.
