Seriously, this era needs to stop. All the social medias should put a $10 subscription so nobody would use them anymore, we should take down all TV channels and maybe this world would be better. Maybe people would stop caring about the other countries or other people's miserable life and then we could start to better up our own lives/society.

>>929038 >put a $10 subscription so nobody would use them anymore Umm, I hate to break it to you. But that would stop nothing at all. If anything that would lead to many other problems. People have no problem paying for 10 different subscription services for shit they don't even watch like Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, and many many others. These paypigs would probably have a further entitlement feeling thinking they are above others for paying for yet another online service.

They should be owned by the government after a point.
As inherently toxic as social media is it's inherently incentivised to create division so that they can sell you products.
Cash money is the motive tho so :$

>>929038 you are literally posting on textboard with demographic where average person is mostly introvert, well literated in media and usually with higher education. If you would talk to anyone offline it would being maybe more effective.. I somehow "like" your idea, but differently.. It would being nice if social networks wouldn't abuse algorithms to make fake conflicts. I didn't saw TV for pretty long.. i doubt if is still relevant.. But you can't just change private company.

They can be attempted to being regulated by countries with slow law development, but same kind of regulation can be used also again users. I really don't want great firewall here and i think that internet shouldn't be regulated.. Instead should have be changed users and being educated about how internet/media works. I can may recommend you to check facebook papers.

>>929038 I don't know why you think this, it wasn't like that before the internet. If anything, things get worse the farther back in history you go.

>>929653 If OP unironically thinks TV is the cause for the world's misery AND the world's empathy at the same time, then he's a fucking turnip smallbrain who you shouldn't waste your time on.
What OP needs to do to better up his own life is to stop living in a bubble and go outside more.

>>929673 Not op but how can you say it's bad without making an argument against it? It's like fire without food to eat. If anything you seems far more unstable than op. How is someone supposed to rely on such judgement? Personally I do believe that op has a valid topic to talk about but by being lost in its vast land nothing actually can be elaborated, thus pointing the finger to the first sighted enemy that be can recognize from that point of view.

Talking about a small issue is much better than knowing but ignoring the bigger issue, which does amount to nothing.
