Where can I get non-sour coffee?

| German coffee is so. incredibly. sour. It's like drinking lemon juice, but worse because it's hot and has a touch of bitter to it.

Please link me to types of beans that are not sour. I know this exists. Surely people don't actively enjoy this sour mess.

| Germany don't got the beans lol

There's a lot of variety to coffee. There's two main species, Arabica & Comlubian. How the beans are roasted affects the flavor. How coarsely the beans are ground affects the flavor, as does the method you use to prepare the coffee.

In general, the darker the roast, the less acids there are in the coffee (which is what causes the sour taste).

And in a looser sense (data ranges are wider on this) French press and kalita wave coffee makers draw less acid from the beans.

| Columbian, even.

| >>927941 I have this issue with German coffee as well. Long brewing it in French press gets rid off the acidicity

if you're not averse to cold coffee, brewing it overnight will do a lot to take the acids out (i guess they oxidize away?)
also try adding cocoa. makes the brew more bitter, but does seem to mask the acid. if you also add milk you're basically making hot chocolate

| Coffee loving G/u/rl from Germany here. Just don't buy these horrible tasting cheap coffee beans. There are many great roasting plants in Germany.
Also learn how to brew. The brighter the coffee is roasted, the hotter your water shall be.
If over extracted (to hot water) it'll taste bitter.
If under extracted (to cold water) it'll taste sour.
A good grinder with even distribution is more important than an expensive brewer.

I'm now tasting a good coffee. Cheers!

Also I recommend just using quality coffee and adding some milk
