Are 21st century dogs quieter?
| I have a 19th century dog. I can confirm that he's incredibly fucking loud, and if he starts howling basically the entire block can't sleep. I had the police called on me multiple times over this but I love him too much to tell him to stop.
| I think you just live near quiet dogs. My neighbors' dogs are crazy loud and will happily bark at anything or nothing
| I have dog from 23st century i can confirm that is pretty quiet, and taste really good with rice

| When I used to live in the 19th century, the dogs used to bark more because they were more sociable and had more threats to bark at. Nowadays, dogs spend so much time indoors that they grew socially awkward and surveillance has decreased the number of threats anyway.

| You know what's weird? I see people walking dogs all the time in this complex but never hear them bark. I actually don't know the last time i heard a dog bark, let alone another bark in response. Do they just not really do that anymore? Like bred to be quieter because it's preferred?
