Unfunny people

| Idk if this is, like, a problem with me or something. It honestly might be. But I tend to view people being unfunny as a red flag. Throughout my whole life, every single person I've interacted with who's completely devoid of humour or extremely bad at it has also been a shitty person.
Obviously not if somebody drops the ball once or some shit, but if somebody is just never once funny they've always turned out to be a suck so I tend to avoid people like that.

| Like, you know those weird cunts who irl unironically talk like a really shitty Discord server general chat?
Or mfs who just never find anything funny?
Or those people who whenever someone says something funny just immediately takes the thing that was just said and makes it completely unfunny immediately?
Those people make me feel super uneasy and uncomfy. Idk. It's like a little scary almost, but idk if I'm being, like, too judgemental or something, you know?

| True

| They just aren't self-aware, being properly self-aware makes you funny and more able to succeed in social situations. And that is a very attractive trait if you ask me.

| >>881701
>being properly self-aware makes you funny
Uh, what? That's not true lol.

| Not everyone has the chops to do comedy, don't make em a bad person.

| >>f4348a
Some people are so stuck-up they view laughing as something stupid and therefor beneath them. According to themselves they're "better people"(see privileged) and obviously smarter than everyone else.

Smiling also gives you more wrinkles later in life so some people actively tend to avoid laughing and smiling in order to look more youthful later.

| >>f4348a
I wholeheartedly agree. Pomuposters should just leave this site.

| >>f4348a Speaking of red flags, trying to paint someone as a bad person just because you enjoy different comedians is a big red flag in my book. Sorry OP.

>>881778
This. Also, humor is subjective.

>>881782
I don't think Pomu posting is about getting laughs though.

| >>881778
That's kinda why I'm asking. Cause, like, idk. I've never met a person like that who's ever been a nice person, so idk if my views might be a little weird on it.

>>881786
I literally did not do or say any of that, what? I never said anything about comedians or different types of humour or anything. I said devoid of humour. I'm also very clearly not trying to paint anyone as a bad person. I'm talking about bad personal experiences and asking for other people's experiences.

| >>881778
Also, to say little more, I don't mean I think people gotta be super funny or "do comedy" or nothing like that, and unlike what >>881786 has made up in their head I'm not talking about people who just have a different taste in comedy or comedians or style of humour or whatever.
I'm talking people who just don't have any sense of humour at all. I find them scary, but I'd like to, like, hear more from you if that's ok if you know nice people who're like that I wanna know.

| >>881786
You cannot convince me Pomu poster is being serious

| I agree with op, anybody on the autistic spectrum should be sent to Mars to play Satisfactory.

| >>881847
I'm autistic...
I'm autistic, and like 80% of my friends are either autistic or have ADHD. There's no correlation between being neurodivergent and being unfunny.

| The funniest peoples are Pomu posters because I am Pomu de una familia noble Pomulia

| >>076013 my guy, my god in heaven, twas a joke about how absurd op is. You should play Factorio instead it's the better game.

| >>881938
My guy, I am OP

| >>881971 foolishness, g/u/rl... The OP is non-existent

| >>881806 >>881807
>I tend to view people being unfunny as a red flag.

You did exactly say that though? We're not gonna have a toxic back-and-forth about this like a couple of retards, but humor is subjective and just because you think someone's unfunny(according to your tastes) it doesn't make them a shitty person, now does it?

Chances are they can probably be funny, for someone else, just not for you. So trash talking them for their different taste in comedy is pretty shitty imo.

| >>881807
>unlike what >>881786 has made up in their head I'm not talking about people who just have a different taste in comedy or comedians or style of humour or whatever.

Maybe it's not what you meant to say when you started this thread, but you did say it. Your original posts are pretty vague so if there's a misunderstanding I don't feel like I'm the one to blame.

| >>881806
>That's kinda why I'm asking. Cause, like, idk. I've never met a person like that who's ever been a nice person, so idk if my views might be a little weird on it.

What you're describing is a cognitive bias and is factually wrong BUT if your gut instinct tells you that this unfunny mofo is a bad person then I think you should trust your gut instinct. Stay safe and take care of yourself, gurlfriend.

| >>881992
Oh...

>>881995
I'm not really tryna trash talk nobody though. That's not my intention, so I'm sorry if it comes off that way.

>>881996
They probably are vague. Idk how to put things in a way that everybody will, like, automatically understand. So, yeah. I guess it's just misunderstanding then.

>>882000
I see. Ty. I guess I'll just continue going with my insticts then. Reason I made the thread is cause I feel kinda bad about it when I do, so I was unsure if it was 1/2

| 2/2 something I should, like, try to change or not. It's always ended bad for me when I haven't gone with instinct but maybe that was just extreme chance so I wanted to hear other people's takes and experiences on it.
It was never meant as tryna make nobody look bad or talk shit or paint everybody like that as a shitty person.

I'll just stay safe and trust those feelings then. I definitely do gotta be more careful with people in general.
Ty for clarifying and answering

| >>882049
Yeah, sorry if I came of as shitty earlier. I see now that I misunderstood you completely.

| What does "red flag" even mean here though? I didn't know unfunny people are from the USSR.

I think it's just a true fact that evolved apes use humor to convey social allegiance. If someone took your joke and make it unfunny, they are trying their best to understand why you find it funny in the first place. If no one laughed they probably won't attempt that shit again. I personally see people who give to 2nd chances as a communist myself.

| who give no 2nd chances*

| >>f520f9
I-
What?

| >>882084 I see that you're devoid of humor. You must be a guatemalan revolutionist yourself.

And I know that too much humor can be off-putting in a relationship. I've fully accepted it, after all I'm the ladies' man. There is a little something for everyone.

| >>882095
For sure
