I get the they/them pronouns. What I don't get is the she/they, he/they pronous.
like, what's that about? does that mean they can use either "she/he" or "they"? what gender is that? why not just use the former or the latter? why can't some people decide?
enlighten me about this please. I don't mean to be mean. I'm genuinely confused

In the first place it's not something that can be fully understood if you don't follow it, the rules tend to remain unclear and inconsistent the more it goes on and to more fake pronouns are added to make people feel special, I honestly just use pronouns as a way to know who to avoid more than anything else due to the naturally toxic nature people who treat their pronouns as their birthright are.

They/them has always been a neutral pronoun so what's the point in stating that you can go by those pronouns anyway
Honestly though, I don't care. If someone wants me to use a specific pronoun I'll respect and do that, not a big deal. >>881714 What fake pronouns? I don't think I've heard of pronouns other than he, her, or they pronouns in over a year. Honestly can't remember the last time

>>7ccc3b There's been a wave of people who essentially makeup their own pronouns, like there's people that go by bug/bugself, kitten/kitten self, and all kinds of other insane pronouns. Google up if you want, but as a cringe connoisseur I've been seeing it nonstop. There was a point that people were putting their pronouns as real people also, dream/dreamself is an example.
dreamself is just funny to me. sounds like they're a branch/evolution of the otherkin fad.

heh, i may be dumb but if someone has "weird and fucked up pronouns", i'll still respect them and calm them by these. if they don't like em theyll grow out of it, but im not the one to judge.

If I see a man I use he/his. If I see a woman I use she/her. If someone pretend to be called xe/xir, I don't give a fuck and continue to use right pronouns. It's my freedom of speech after all.

The [they] and [*/they] pronoun preference are people considering themselves gender neutral leaning towards a specific gender.

It means they go by both of those sets of pronouns. Gender is less of a binary and more like a spectrum. So if somebody for example is somewhere between female and neutral on that spectrum, then they might wanna go by she/they since exclusively using she/her or they/them would mean ignoring half of their gender identity.

Also, to the edgelord shitting themselves over stuff like kitten/kittenself, that's called neopronouns. Reason that it's called neopronouns and not just pronouns is because it's a different thing and not "proper" pronouns but instead more like a nickname. For example when talking to somebody you don't know that well you might use your "proper" name, but people you're closer with may refer to you by a nickname. Same shit with neopronouns.
