online social circles are overrated
| I agree. Super populated discord servers and things of that nature fucking suck. Unplug for a bit, appreciate what's around you, and all of the sudden you life seems to suck less.
| I don't know if I'm wired differently, but I can't get into discord communities. Conversations are just random, often without a given topic and they go too fast for me to engage. I like reading what I've missed and it's impossible there, if the server is big. I guess it's more like having out rather than discussing something or posting for shits and giggles.

| I agree for the most part, but what I ended up doing was leaving one major one, and creating a new one but being hyper-anal about who was allowed in.
A lot of stress comes from the perception that you need to "tolerate" certain people, but honestly, boundless inclusivity is fucking cringe, man. If you don't vibe with someone and they don't vibe with the community you're making, they don't "need" to be there.
| my online social circles are pretty cool actually. hanging out with people you can play video games with helps a lot.
