What to know before heading to therapy?
| don't lie unless being honest would get you institutionalized
| That just showing up is not like pressing a magic button that will "fix" you. Took me years to learn that. Go with an open mind willing to change old habits/behaviors for "healthier" ones that push you to your goals.

| If you're not locked in a grueling battle of wit and raw intellect with your therapist, then you're doing it all wrong.
| You don't need to know where to start or what to say. The right therapist will assest you in these things and you can start from there.

| There are many different approaches to therapy (client-centered, eclectic, etc.) if your therapist doesn't work, that might just be your therapist
