| the way I think about it is:
some places there's a reason for you to be in the Core that isn't just your personal desire. where as long as you keep sending messages, you'll get (You)s.
some places are places where you'll never really fit in. places where it's hard to interact with others and hard to get interactions.
most places though, you just have to put in a little effort. where it's hard to find the right way to start a conversation, but when you have a good opportunity...
| ... to start speaking you get replies. and I think if you want to just get to at least a Known Face it's not hard, in a situation like that.
knowing which places are which takes a little bit before you figure it out, too. if one doesn't work out just keep trying more.
unrelatedly to that, I think it gets easy to feel alienated from everywhere when you use the internet too obsessively. the more you check for replies, the less the replies you get make an impact. once you've...
| ... started with that it's easy to end up with a downwards spiral, where you start looking for connections in fast, impersonal chatrooms and websites rather than more fulfilling ones that don't have the size to fill up a feed. and it never feels like enough and you never feel close to anyone.
but if you do end up obsessively checking your phone for any shread of interest from other people while slowly ignoring real friends more and more, you're at least gonna be a lot cuter.

Thats all a fair point,i guess working Security has ha a but of a toll in that regard. You do alot of web surfing to just get a few minutes out of the way and the job lends itself to a certain sense of Ennui. Part of why i'm excited for an upcoming Vacation.
| Sorry i had to deal with some government stuff and getting called into work early. The more i look at it the more i think it might be just my general disconnect with the world dude to the abundance of work recently and not being able to do much else after my car got KO'd. Hopefully its the case at this current moment and once i get a new car and back on track for my events that odd feeling will subside.
