It is pretty clear targeted advertising won't go away any time soon. Would it be possible to have targeted advertising while protecting a person's privacy? Personally I don't really think so, as you still have to have a centralized entity to control that data, but if I gotta live in a future where government's won't ban mass data collection I at least want to be able to choose the lesser evil lol

Apparently Mozilla is trying something out with Meta right now. Not sure where that's going.

Govt has the power to regulate it but if politicians are bought off then they won't. Make data collection Opt-in rather than opt-out
