| Reddit is trash and the whole vote/karma system is like a worst version of facebook/twitter likes. Passive engagement may be fine for like, art, but has no place in any social context, and yes, as a message board that forces you to speak up to engage with the site's content, D! is absolutely superior.
Plus yeah the community here is more fun and interesting.

| If you want liberal bullshit brainwash in EVERY SINGLE THING by all means go to Reddit. It’s only good when searching for a specific answer for a specific question, where you type “Reddit” after in the search bar.

| reddit can be good but it takes a lot of effort to make it stay interesting. as soon as you join a subreddit it always seems to start expanding, which makes it shittier, so nothing ever lasts. but when you do find good content in small subs, it's actually pretty good, especially when people are riffing off each other.
holy fuck are the bad parts bad though. all the mods suck, most commenters suck, and the people who upvote upvote the deadest brain bullshit possible.

Small subreddits for specific hobbies are good though. That, and r/HobbyDrama to find out what happens when a community gets too big.
