>>849799 What is a soul anyway? To deduct whether or not it exists we should first establish what the fuck a soul actually is.
Is it a synonym for the ego? Is it some pink immaterial sparkling thing? Or is it our true self? I have no fucking clue what a soul is, but it appears in religious texts all the time.

Yes. The mind began as nervous cells that hijacked some tissue to help protect it. It moves the body around via impulses. In return the tissue was able to be fed more often and was less likely to be be eaten by other cells.
A soul is the part of you that intentionally controlls parts of your body at will, and the directs thoughts through the mind. It exists as a nebulous bridge between the two and acts as a central director. It brings balance to the being and is the sense of you.

soul is a small organ next to but not connected to the heart. it doesn't interact with the electromagnetic field so it can't be seen, but it's kept in place by the soulon particle. its purpose is unknown, but philosophers used its existence as a possible solution to the ship of theseus problem.
