So I was kind of just relaxing and taking a nap. Then my dog started barking and bolted out the door barking. So I got up and sprinted after her since I didn't want her to get lost or hurt. Especially since it was dark outside. Though it was fine since my sisters were outside. Though my problem is when I was getting up to make sure she wouldn't run away I slammed my pinky toe into my ar-15 I had lying on the ground and now my pinky toe hurts.

Like I don't have the money to get an x-ray to make sure and I working a job the requires me to be on my feet constantly. I just hope it is not broken. (ˊДˋ)

Idk about these things but maybe put a straight wood or plank between your pinky toe and wrap a medical tape??

>>841600 i have no idea if broken toe/finger are same as arm, but when i had broke it, i wasn't able to even move by my limb, pain was so strong that my arm feeled as if muscles was concetreted. if you dare, you can try touch your pinky toe, and try move it left/right/up/down, if you won't be able to, or pain will be worse than is, it will be probably broke

What color is your pinky toe right now?
It's possible to have what's called a "hairline fracture" which is when your bone breaks but cleanly enough to be repaired with less treatment than otherwise, but bone breaks- as opposed to bruising, or swelling - are also excruciatingly painful. Like, to the point where most people would be doubled over in pain once the adrenaline wears off.
If its anywhere near that level, I do not expect your toe to be a shade of anything but blue or purple. But it's not a guarantee that you broke it.

I broke my pinky toe in a similar way. I was sure its broken only after it had healed already, because after three or four days the pain and swell had cooled down enouhg that I could feel whats going on. At that point the bone was already healed with a noticable dent in it. That might sound harsh, but it was about 9 or 10 years ago and I never had any problems with it ever since.

At first I doubted it was broken, because it didn't hurt that much and I could still walk, only limping a little for a week and thats it.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I think the only thing I can do is to just tape it and immobilize it just to keep it from potentially getting worse.

>>841830 I live in America and it costs 350$ just to get a simple x-ray I don't have that kind of money I can barely afford rent every month. (ˊДˋ)
You could go to an urgent care (if one exists near you) and have someone determine if an x-ray is even necessary. It would be covered by medicaid, and the most expensive i've seen a copay be at one is 40-80 usd, depending on your insurance.
No need to rush to the scan options unless one's really needed.
