i have realized that masturbation is essential. no need to get embarassed. just do not let it consume your "productive" side of life.

>>840157 employers benefit when people want to have self controlled and be disciplined simply for the sake of being that way. it's another excuse for people to feel morally superior about being on the grind, working long days, and competing with each other for jobs. when your laborers feel supererior for having the discipline to put up with abuse or to upskill themselves endlessly, it's easy to get more labor for less money.

before the industrial revolution, people were a lot freer to choose their own schedules and not plan their days in advance. I'd be more productive and happy working like that, and I doubt that's uncommon. but it's way better for employers to have people work a standardized, scheduled day. so to get everybody on schedule, what do you do? say "you lot aren't rich cause you aren't DISCIPLINED like I am!" and the people who believe you will start tryharding for you.

now you have shit like the people who write "inspirational" stuff on linkedin that's just more propaganda. now we have Grindsets and Girlbosses and High Net Worth Individuals. and they all tout self control and unrelenting focus among their many virtues that we could NEVER parallel.
Post number #840249, ID: e86e00

but also self control itself isn't bad. I think the problem is only when you start chasing stuff like that. when you do, you start seeing times where you fit the system well as success, even if that's not good for you or allows you to be exploited. if you say you like self control because you managed to quit smoking or something then congratulations ig.

>>840246 wow this is a really good perspective. thank you i havent thought of self control in that angle. although yes, i am implying self control in a more personal level like the one in smoking.
I have realized that I cannot possibly quit masturbating. Before, I treated it as an addiction that I should leave behind but now with proper self-control, I can be both productive AND masturbating. fun times!

>>840343>>840345 ouch. this was degradingly uplifting, thank you. thank you for telling me im fine as myself, seriously :)). im doing self-control for myself too tho!! i keep trying hard. like for example if i have self control over my food consumption, then i wont be fat. there's nothing wrong with being fat but if i keep doing that to myself, i would become obese and that'll become a problem.

Most of us (i think) were conditioned, while growing up, to be someone who should become a "somebody" someday. for me, i chose the path to strive harder. it sounds corny and cliche but i seriously want to be a person in the future that'll become rich and can buy anything. i want to give back to my parents and let them experience the life they wanted. for some, it'll be a *puke* reason but at the present, this is how i think. all of youse are witnesses, okay?!?!

to avoid the encounter with it is the sole purpose of these mental mechanisms, various social contracts you didnt know you signed up for. actually, you know, its just that alot of shit in our heads, the worldviews, the hows, the justs, the prides, the shames - covers up the memory of ticking the checkboxes on terms of service of your tribes membership subscription. imagine a world where there is not a single person to call you an idiot, tell you how to ""do things right"".

Post number #841378, ID: 51d6a9

in all probability - probably not. you would live a life devoid of many delusions modern man is plagued with. youd eat when you need, youd hammer the nails into a plank, youd jerk when you want. oh if only fight club was a documentary. ... now onto something completely different, wanna be a facking god?

me too, so does everyone. but not why you would think. every living soul, once was immaterial, immortal, and unimpeded. nirvana they call it. imagine the shock it felt when it got caged in the body of meat, shit and hormonal fucking concoction, put into a world of arbitrary values, pitted against equally confused human larvae. thats the birth trauma, and its the lingering memory of angelic life once was that makes us chase the health, power, art and all that.
