60,000yen is a common monthly salary for animators unfortunately. You can find some cheap share houses to stay. You might have trouble getting a visa if you don't have 2-5 million yen equivalent in your bank account in your country

That's a really small amount of money for a whole month's expenses. You've got basically 20 bucks a day and that's before deducting rent, utilities, and other household expenses. Unless you're ascetic and pay little to zero rent, I don't see how you can make that work.

Share houses can be as as low as $400 a month including utilities, so then you'd just have to eat rice everyday. Transportation cost is gonna kill you though. Maybe there's a student pass
