| Dark Souls lore

| The Once and Future King

| I started a book on psilocybin mushrooms but got bored and went back to Mushoku Tensei light novel.

that seems like a comfy read

| Uhh I'm only reading manga/doujins...

| It's not a book, but it's a really long fanfiction. It's oddly compelling. I keep rereading it from time to time.

Drop the link, g/u/rl

| I'm currently reading Witchmark by C.L. Polk. Steampunk magic fantasy with some eldritch horror undertone and really involved world-building. I like it a lot.

Also reading These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong, a "retelling" of Romeo and Juliet with gangsters in 1920s Shanghai and supernatural murder mystery. The writing takes too looong getting anywhere but the story itself is nice.

| I haven't been reading as much lately so this year I've only finished two books and they're both re-reads. Flow My Tears The Police Man Said and Radio Free Albemuth.

My brother gave me Ringworld last christmas so that might be my next one. Anyone here read it? If so, what did you think?

| >>836522 You're doing better than me. The only book I've read this year apart from reading for class is Bullshit Jobs. Honestly I don't really recommend it, while it was a good read I doubt reading about all the problems with the world I live in is doing me a favor regarding my depression.

So far, but I wager it will get less comfy eventually.

| I've been reading ISSTH and after 900 or so chapters I can say with confidence that it's an actual masterpiece in the xianxia genre despite its occasional tasteless humour.

| I just bought the non-fiction book Kleptopia, a book about how dirty money is conquering the world. It's supposed to be a really insightful read.

Oligarchs from the former Soviet Union sued its author and publisher today, and the first hearing will be on wednesday, which consequently lead to a Streisand Effect kind of deal so it's now more popular than ever.

| And Quiet Flows The Don. I just got past the part where the protagonist's wife tries to commit suicide by slitting her own throat with a scythe which was followed by an extremely graphic scene of a woman being gang raped by soldiers. It's a very fucked up book!
