I think i might have DID. I've never wanted to admit it to myself

I keep thinking I don't have it because so many people fake it, so many people are just wrong. But at this point idk what else could be making me like this
I dissociate constantly, forget large chunks of my day and my friends occasionally say i act very different from day to day, sometimes i feel different. Up till recently I've just thought thats normal, or part of just being anxious or something. But now I'm starting to maybe think otherwise. Idk. I'm terrified that I'm faking

Maybe it's only one of your personalities that's faking it?

Have you considered seeing someone qualified to talk about this with? Anonymous internet drink mixing forums aren't really the best place for mental health diagnosis

Yeaaah, so... if you must talk to internet strangers about this, maybe make a throwaway account and go ask on a forum dedicated to mental health. Even then... self-diagnosis probably won't help you much. Seeking out a good psych clinic is the best idea imo.

>>830229 i haven't had a therapist in forever, they're way too expensive and i don't have insurance. >>830245 that might be a good idea, i might try that. I'm only posting it here because... Idk. You ever admit something or tell a secret to a seashell and then throw it into the ocean? Kinda like that. Except this seashell talks back.

DID is not really something that's possible to handle very well on your own from my understanding. It's something that would definitely require therapy to properly figure out. Based on what you said it really does sound like you might though. Definitely a possibility, for sure.
Drop that "what if I'm faking" shit though. People who are actually faking know for a fact that they are, because it's intentional. Only reason you think that is because of wide spread stigmas and bullshit.
