I'm currently going to school for something I have no interest in (IT). I don't have anyone to talk to about this so I'm asking strangers on the internet. Should I just stop now and find something else.

You may have lost interest now, but there must be something about IT that you found interesting before starting your studies. Can you remember what it is, or was?

Sometimes having sex will be the answer to all your problems. You should give it a try.

Depends on how close you are to finishing and how much debt your incurring to go the school if its cheap and your almost done just stick without to have an easy backup job and if it isnt then go and dip.

>>811704 I started because my parents told me to that's about it. >>811730 it's cheap and I'm halfway done but I just feel like I'm wasting my time doing something I have no interest in doing. Like there's a chance I end up doing something else anyways which is also a waste. I have no idea what I'm doing lol.

>>811751 halfway through my physics degree I realised that physics fucking sucks and that I love IT. So in the two years remaining I tried my best to self-educate in IT, so when I graduated I just found a job in that field instead of physics, been happy with it ever since. So maybe you could try something alike?

If you lost interest you should consider looking into something else unless you are confident you can push thru and sort something out after graduating. There are many different applications for IT so that might spark something in you later. But if not, then it might be better to look into something else now. Take it from someone who decided to stick thru and waste 3 years on a career I ended up hating and now I'm looking into something else...

Drop out then, truth be told not really reading this post besides the title and furst block but uh. If you got a support structure in your life aka parents just tall to em and say I have no interest in this and take a year brake with nothing and just look for something

I dropped out of IT. It's not been easy tryna live with no school and shit, but I don't regret it. At all. That shit was torture. Being jobless fucking hurts, but at least I'm in and out of jobs. So, if you have the opportunity to survive without it, do it.

I will say tho, while you are still going, try to maintain contact with people on the major. Friends, teachers, speakers, etc. Because, even if you drop out, they can help you later as reference or just to find opportunities! :0

IT is a good field and there's always jobs most of the time, but I feel like if you don't have interest in the field, don't follow through. Who cares if it's a good field if you're not interested in it?

I honestly think it's just the school environment for me. I do much better and can stay focused when I just study on my own time while chilling in my room. maybe play some video games, smoke, have a wank, etc in between my studies. Being forced to sit in a classroom full of other people for hours at a time just kills it for me.
