| what is the most efficient way to start learning bass

| Training a lot and putting in the hours. The more you train the faster you improve. You also gotta get some quality exercises but i don't really have any links for those. There is no real "one weird trick" to bypass years of experience. If Micheal Cera can play bass pretty well, you can learn how to too. Also don't try to jump the gun by tryin to learn how to slap before you can pick with 3 fingers in a consistent way

| You made me want to learn my bass again. Thanks.

I'm not asking for a trick I'm asking what are the most efficient methods of practicing. Like what should I focus on doing as a beginner first.

| $100.000 of bass a year.

| >>810006 there's multiple things you wanna start doing. Try to get good coordination between your hands, using first only one finger on your picking hand and then moving up to two fingers and then three. Try to make your picking as consistent as possible.

| Oh and don't forget to always practice to a metronome

| Practice your scales. its fucking boring but do it.

This, 100 times this. I've been doing scales and all kinds of other exercises like crazy, but always went too fast or too slow because I didn't even once think of using a metronome.

| metronomes are for people with no sense of rhythm
